Our friendship is over when you choose dating my man rather than respecting our long time friendship.

 

I trusted you with all my heart. Trusting you that you will be there through my ups and downs.

You stabbed me a hundred times and you acted like you were the one who was bleeding and the worst part was everyone was helping you while I was bleeding to death.

The poem is all about the changes of attitude when they met a person.  The attitude of a person is based on how other people treat them.

THE OLD WOMAN OF THE CANDLES

Doray is a typical girl from Aklan that came from a religious family. She decided to bring her bestfriend to her hometown just to see how they spend their Holy Week and what kind of tradition they follow.

Burt Macaraig a guy who is not a practicing Catholic. He doesn’t believe in aswang and witches it all myths for him. During Holy Week, he spends his time at the beach but this time he decided to spend it with Doray at her grandmother’s house.

Lola Conching a religious old woman. She suffered a lot at the hands of Japanese soldier. The Japanese hit her at the head with a plank of wood that causes her blindness.

The story reminds us how important the feast or celebration of the Holy Week in the province, on how they give time preparing for the procession, and how they repent their sins to the Lord. It also reminds us that we need to obtain and strengthen our faith in God.
